Should we worship Jesus or God? I know that question might have troubled you for some time. Maybe you’re a new convert and they have been telling you to pray in the name of Jesus and you have never understood why this is so.

Should we worship Jesus or God

You wonder, is Jesus indeed God? Or should I worship Jesus? Or should I worship God? You are confused, I get it. Don’t worry. Today I’m going to answer that question and I’m going to base my argument purely on the scriptures, the inspired word of God.

This video explains whether we should worship Jesus or God.

And I believe God will speak to your heart if you’re that person who has been struggling with this idea. And if it has never crossed your mind, you may still learn something from this article and I believe God will bless you indeed.

In the book of 1 John 2, John is warning the church concerning the antichrist and false prophets who will rise in the end times to oppose the word of God, the divinely inspired word of Jesus Christ by saying that Jesus Christ is not God.

And therefore, John is warning these believers to be watchful lest the enemy deceives them with his old philosophy, the lie that Jesus Christ is not God.

In 1 John 2:23, the Bible says “No one who denies The Son as The Father, he who confesses The Son has The Father”. Also, the Bible is very clear that you can’t accept The Father and deny The Son because they are both one and the same person.

And you will see that by the end of this article that the Son and the Father are one person. If you really understand the Trinity, the Godhead, you’ll understand that we have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

And all of them, are equal and they have different roles, yet it’s the same God. Why am I saying this? If God created water, and we know that water can exist in three states liquid, solid, and gas, therefore how is it different for you to believe that God can exist in three persons?

He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. By the end of this video, you will be able to distinguish and understand the concept of the Trinity by the grace of God.

And we know from John’s teaching that he who denies the Son does not have the Father. So, if anyone comes to you and tells you that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God, be very sure that person does not know God, and neither is he operating in the Spirit of God

That person is a false teacher and probably a follower of the Antichrist. And you should be watchful lest you fall into their deception. Another verse that will clearly show us that concept, is the book of John 14:6-7. It says “Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.”

At this time, Jesus Christ was answering Thomas because he had asked him, may you show us the Father? And Jesus told him, o Thomas, have you not known all this time that I and the Father are one, that I am in the Father and the Father is in the Son? And I’m here to execute the will of the Father? And I am the father because I and the father are inseparable.

Jesus is one with The Father

Verse 7 says, “if you really knew me, you would have known my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him”. He says, if you have seen me, Thomas, you have seen the Father. You don’t have to look for the Father elsewhere, because the Father is in me and I am in the Father.

For me and the Father are one inseparable. We are one entity. We are just one, and that’s all. Again, if you read in the Book of John 14:10-11, you realize that this is Jesus speaking. “He says do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the sake of the words themselves.”

In this verse also, Jesus is still speaking to Thomas and the other disciples and is trying to show them his relationship with the Father. He tells Thomas that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. And whatever he does, he does not do it on his own authority. He does it because it is the Father’s work. The Father has sent him to do those works. So, Jesus and the Father are one and the same person.

Therefore, Jesus is indeed God and Jesus is in the Father. And the Father is in Jesus Christ. And therefore, we should worship the Father through the Son Jesus Christ. I’ll show you that in a minute.

Jesus is the way to the Father

Again, in the previous verse we read in John 14:6, Jesus said that He is the way, meaning that you can never access the Father unless you pass through the Son.

It is the Son who is the way. He is the life and the truth and nothing less. You can never access the Father unless you go through the Son. He is the only way to the Father.

John 10:7 says “Therefore Jesus said again, I tell you the truth. I am the gate for the sheep”. That Jesus Christ is that gate through which we enter to access the Father.

We are his sheep, we who hear his word and obey it. So, we enter through Him to have access to the Father, because Jesus is in the Father, they are one with the Father. And therefore, we can never pray unless we pray through the Son Jesus Christ to have access to the Father.

In John 10:27-30, the Bible declares “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me, and I give them eternal life and they shall never perish.”

Jesus gives His sheep eternal life

In the first verse, Jesus says that He gives His sheep eternal life. We know that it’s only God who can give eternal life. Therefore, this is evidence enough that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and therefore we should pray through Him because He has the ability, the power to give us eternal life.

Verse 28 declares that “no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand. For I and the father are one.”

If you believe in God, you must believe in Jesus Christ, His Son, who was given to us as a sacrifice, so that we may have access to the Father, so that we might become the righteousness of God.

In fact, 2 Corinthians 5:21 declares that “God made Him sin who had no sin, so that through Him we might become the righteousness of God”. Jesus Christ died at cavalry to take upon Himself our sins so that we may have access to the Father because we are made righteous through the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Again, Jesus declares in the book of John 14:14, “You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it”.

We have to pray through Jesus Christ for us to obtain whatever we pray for because through Jesus Christ we have access to the throne of grace. (Hebrews 4:16)

1 Timothy 1:5 declares “For there is one God and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom for all the testimony to which was born at the proper time”.

The Bible is very clear that there is only one mediator between God and man, the man Jesus Christ. So, there is no other way to access God. It is only through Jesus Christ, and therefore, brethren, we have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that Jesus Christ is God.

And it is only through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, that we have access to the Father. Probably you’ve had so many teachings on the same subject and those who have tried to tell you that Jesus Christ is not the son of God, I am telling you the truth, that that is a deception.

You should avoid such people and such arguments and believe that it’s only through Jesus Christ you can access God. For he is the only mediator between man and God and there is no other. And there will never be any other, it’s only Jesus.

And there will never be any, for God appointed him. His Son, who is he himself God to be the way, the life, and the truth. And if you believe in Jesus Christ, you receive redemption, for he has told us that he is able to give us eternal life.

If you believe in Jesus, He will give you eternal life and access to the throne room of God the Father. That’s why the Bible declares in Hebrews 4:16 that now we have the access to draw boldly to the throne of mercy because Jesus Christ has given us that access.

I urge you to read the entire chapter of John 10 and 14. They are really amazing chapters. And the Spirit of God, who is our teacher, will teach you, if only you believe in Him.

And I believe if you read those chapters, God will speak to your heart in a special way, if only you read with a sincere heart. The Bible declares in the book of James 1:21 that “receive the engrafted word of God with meekness, with humility, which is able to save your soul”.
