What does the bible mean by the statement that ye are gods sons of the most high God?
You are a god. Do you believe that? Personally, I believe I am a god. Some of you right now are like, what is this guy blaspheming? We should stone him today. Of course, that is what the Pharisees wanted to do to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when he declared that he is the Son of God.
Reading from the Book of John 10:31, the Bible says “the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me? The Jews answered him, it is not for a good work that we stone you, but for blasphemy because you, being a man, make yourself God. Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, you are Gods? If He called them gods, to whom the Word of God came and the Scripture cannot be broken? Do you say of him who the Father consecrated and sent into the world, you are blasphemy because I said, I am the Son of God?”

So, the Jews wanted to stone our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ because He called Himself a God or because He called Himself the Son of God. And the truth is that Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God.
And when I say that you are a god and that I am a god, I do not blaspheme. That is what the scripture says. In fact, in Psalms 82:6, the Bible says, “I say you are God. You are all sons of the most High”.
So, the Bible recognizes us. God recognizes us as gods with small g. God has placed us on earth to execute His will as gods. As He has given us dominion over all creation as gods, to execute His divine purpose here on earth as gods.
When I say you are a god, it is indeed true you are a god. Do you know the reason why God was very angry at the children of Israel when they used to worship idols? It’s because they never understood their identity and that they were gods. And they failed to function as one.
They didn’t have to worship images, the works of their own hands, for they themselves were gods. They were only responsible and accountable to God the Creator and not to those idols the works of their hands.
And because they never understood their identity that they were gods, the sons of the most High, they ended up defiling themselves in idol worship. Another thing, Adam and Eve were deceived by the enemy because they never understood their identity.
And the enemy deceived them that if they eat of the forbidden fruit, they will be like God. They never understood that they were gods already. That’s why God had placed them in the Garden of Eden to execute his righteous will and judgment here on earth.
Therefore, from today henceforth always know that you are a god and nothing less and nothing more, because you are a child of God, and God has placed you here on earth to do His will. In fact, in the Book of Ephesians 2:10, the Bible declares that “we are God’s workmanship created in Jesus Christ beforehand to do His good work or to do good work.”
We are created in the image of God
We are created in the image and the likeness of God in Christ Jesus. We are God’s workmanship to do His will, to do good works. We are gods.
Again, when God called Moses to go and deliver the children of Israel from the house of bondage that is from Egypt, He said to Moses, I will make you a god before Pharaoh. And God didn’t contradict himself.
He was speaking the scriptures. Because He always stands on the integrity of His word. He does not contradict His word, for it is written that we are gods.
So the time he told Moses, I will make you a god before Pharaoh, it’s very true, Moses was indeed a god before Pharaoh, for he is created in the image of God, and he was a child of God, and he knew his identity in God, that he is a god.
Therefore, if anyone says he is a god, he does not blaspheme. Always know you are a son of God If only you are born again, if only you’ve received Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, that’s when this word is activated in your life.
Without Christ, you are not a god. You are just a normal person. This is true because the Bible says in that same verse, we have read in Psalms 82:6, he says I have said, “Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”
